[XI] Blog [Paid] [Deleted]

If I wanted to upgrade LNBlog to XIBlog 1.0.0, how would I do that? Or is upgrading LN bot available until XI 1.1.0 is finished?

It will most certainly be possible in a future beta and forward. :) It's one of a number of things that still aren't in 1.1 just yet (yay surprises!).
 
Can you put up a link to a demo install in the description page so that members can easily see what's it all about?

I'm unaware of any demo installations at the moment. The main demo installation probably won't be up until Beta 2.

I will see about snagging some screenshots later though.
 
I have a spare Xenforo license. I will ask the boss (my wife) if I can buy this addon now, since I was going to buy it anyway and set it up on a test site. Everyone can access it and post stuff. Wish me luck fellas.

Is there an importer for Better Blogs to XI Blogs? I'm contemplating switching over because there's a lot of features that are lacking that I miss from LN Blogs.

That error occurs when an entry does not have a category selected.
 
Here are some suggestions.

When creating a new entry, the fields should be something like this.



* I want to create a new blog
* I want to update an existing blog

The * are check buttons. If a user clicks a check button (only one can be selected) then it looks like this. (Only the options for the selected can be seen, the others are hidden)

* I want to create a new blog

Name: (user creates a name for their blog)
Category: (user MUST select an existing category for their blog)
Description: (user writes a description of that blog)
Post: (normal blog post)


Alternatively, if the second choice is selected

* I want to update an existing blog

* Blog#1
* Blog#2
etc

Update Title: (user creates a name for their update)
Post: (normal blog post)
Category: (this field should not be there)


Users should also have a little link under their username in the postbit going to their blog.
Users should also be able to subscribe to users blogs, not just the updates within them.
The admin should be able to disallow users to hide their blogs. So the publish options, "limit viewing to" and permissions set by the user should be able to be hidden so the user does not access them.

I removed my old version of LNblog and tried to make a fresh install.

I approved the second one and sent and email about the first, but just in case: You wish to rename the second one to the first without the 2, right?

... and reading that back, I realize how convoluted that is. :ROFLMAO: So here: Want to rename your duplicate count from Dynamic2 to just Dynamic?
