XFHosting.com Nightmare

I use https://www.inmotionhosting.com and they are really good. Look into it and they can move your website to their host. They moved me from ipage.com and im sooo happy i found them.

With all the attempts, they informed us that both of the two disks failed

So they were running a hosting server with RAID1 (really bad form), and I'm sure one of the disks became corrupted and copied itself to the other. Both disks physically failing at the same time is almost an impossibility. Not saying it doesn't happen but...

Just a quick update. They never replied after last update that they were doing everything possible to recover disk. Looks like the "weekly backups" are pure fiction. They simply closed out ticket without ever even providing the courtesy of "sorry, we were unable to recover the data".

I have moved on, lost a few months of data but lesson learned. Happy with new host.

Bottom line, stay away from XFHosting, aka SEOVB, probably other names but all under the Bramcolm umbrella.

Actually, bottom line is - be sure to always perform (and verify) your own backups at least daily.
Glad you found another host you are happy with.

If they're not a brand name that the people on webhostingtalk give good reviews to, then don't use them.
