For people new to the platform, it is a pretty common request for people to ask if auth provider 'XYZ' is supported by XF. To everyone other than developers, it is not clear that XF2 has this functionality and some might think the auth providers are hardcoded.
Please add a note to the Connected Accounts manual entry introduction that if one's desired platform isn't listed, XF2 does have an OAuth integration API, that is how existing platforms work, and if one wants to add a platform, a custom module can hook into this API.
