I think it was closed because, although we all technically know how to behave in a forum, that doesn’t always happenSince this thread has been closed, I believe an announcement is imminent.
Umm... Let it go...ppl, I tell you what should have happened:
So simple to have dealt with him and discourage him from doing it again.
- Troll Jake70 who started attacking me and making ridiculous assertions without evidence thread banned and possibly other sanctions too. My point about Apple security seems to have really triggered him, so stupid. Blame isn't equal here as people seem to think. Put it where it belongs.
- Thread left open for those of us who want to have a proper conversation allowed to do so before he came along and thread crapped it.
Umm... I was just responding to the comments from you and others on here. As far as I was concerned, the matter was closed until yourselves opened it again and blamed me for it too, instead of putting it all on the troll like it's supposed to be. How can you not see it?Umm... Let it go...

ok, kind of, but telling me to "let it go" isn't exactly supportive now, is it? You can see the evidence, put the blame where it belongs. Yeah, let's leave it here, I have no quarrel with you.I am not a part of - "until yourselves opened it"...
Add that to the list of things most would expect in the core software for 2025.Xenforo is the only forum I have seen without a calendar.
I even looked at one forum which had the calendar as a choice.
The development had turned to dust unfortunately.
A calendar would be really handy, agreed.Xenforo is the only forum I have seen without a calendar.

I am no XF pom pom princess that shoughts yea for what is coming, but I'm genuinely frightened.Add that to the list of things most would expect in the core software for 2025.
Oh yes, take a backup and test on a local copy for sure. You don't need a disaster on the live site without a backup, omg.I am no XF pom pom princess that shoughts yea for what is coming, but I'm genuinely frightened.
I know my site will be 100% broken if I update. Thankfully I can test but I fear for those that blindly update without testing...
So many users do not have the capability or understand why this a necessary thing.Oh yes, take a backup and test on a local copy for sure. You don't need a disaster on the live site without a backup, omg.
I'm on XF Cloud nowadays, but have a self-hosted license too. I can take a backup of the forum, install it locally and test any potentially breaking changes in complete safety.
Another thing I can do is to close the forum, make a backup and then try the breaking change. Restore the forum if it goes to pot, without data loss.
Or maybe just closed because it became a bit toxic with personal insults throwing around.Since this thread has been closed, I believe an announcement is imminent.
Tbh I feel the same way. Our current install is heavily customized. With that said - I do see the required need for future marketing and updates to keep the brand alive +2025. I want to see new customers flooding this place like the good old days. Keeping the excitement alive. Only way to reach that newer crowd of admins, is to find a new avenue of communication and updates for XF3.0 imo.I am no XF pom pom princess that shoughts yea for what is coming, but I'm genuinely frightened.

Yes, keeping updated is inevitable. Taking the plunge is difficult...Tbh I feel the same way. Our current install is heavily customized. Maybe get in touch with the people that customised your site and get them to make changes on your behalf.Yes, keeping updated is inevitable. Taking the plunge is difficult...
PassMaybe get in touch with the people that customised your site and get them to make changes on your behalf.
They might be able to create the new one as a template and merge it in as the new style.
