XF 2.1 XF 2.1 to new 2.1 Forum: Import Subset of Sub-Forums?

Hello,

I am considering cleaving off a portion of my existing (parent) XF 2.1.8 forum, and creating a new and separate (child) XF forum (new license, URL, etc.).

My question is -- can I do an import to a new forum, of a sub-set of the forums in my existing XF install? Does XF's importer allow you to do this?

Or would you have to do a full import of the parent forum, and then remove/delete the unwanted forums to create a child forum?

No, it's not possible to do a partial import.

You can either duplicate the forum you wish to import and prune it before importing, or import it into the new forum and prune afterwards.

I'm assuming you really can't get a more simple and straightforward import than a XF 2.1.x to 2.1.x import.....
