Everything is fine and under my control. When I made a comment about losing data, I will at some point be switching the droplet which could cause us to lose posts between the time I take the back up and the time I get the new droplet dns resolved. When I switch the droplet there will be an obvious notice that the change has taken place and it won't be a big deal. No need to worry.

The only thing not working is the ssl, but right now it's set so that isn't a problem unless you go to the secure protocol manually, since it isn't forced anymore. Just go to the normal http:// connection and it's fine.

Yes. I noticed that this afternoon which is odd because the date was a few days ago and I was on the site yesterday. I just haven't been on the computer yet today to renew the domain. That's my bad for not noticing the email about it expiring. In my defense, Godaddy spams me a huge amount. No worries.

*I haven't been on the computer today due it being a holiday in the United States and having family visiting.

November Update

Let me start by saying that this weekend was a complete waste. Halloween night I broke my tooth and exposed a nerve, I don't know if any of you have ever done that but I can only describe it as the worst pain of my life. It rendered me completely useless this weekend, I could just pace around my house applying tubes of Orajel and taking pain killers. I went to the dentist today and they gave me antibiotics which have helped with the source of the pain and it's a little more manageable at the moment.

The domain expiring has not influenced development and it also is not Jeff's fault in the least. Jeff initiated the transfer of the domain to me like 2 months ago, I thought I completed the steps to getting it transferred but apparently I hadn't done it completely. The transfer request is no longer valid. I plan to email him, I just haven't yet because my time on the computer has been limited. I have started setting up the new droplet, since I figured the domain issue is a good time anyways. You can monitor it's status here (it's not completely set up yet as you can tell by the error message): http://104.236.184.198 - eventually the domain will point here.

I've added another source of development of my XenMods add-ons, they recently finished their first project which was an addition to Moderator Essentials. I have to do a code audit, but it does seem promising. That's a huge step in getting me to where I can work on XenReviews more as I'll have to do less on my existing add-ons without abandoning them.

Development has been continuing on a combination of localhost and XenMods.com. Neither the droplet nor the domain are necessary at this stage for the project to continue although I know they do boost consumer confidence. Everything will be back to normal soon.

Just a quick update.

I've been working steadily at trying to get XenReviews to function in a reasonable manner. I know I haven't put a release out in a while and it seems like I haven't been working on it. This is not the case. I have recently made changes to Custom Fields, fixed some bugs, and in general have the project running more smoothly.

I'm finishing setting up the custom fields for my products section. There aren't many bugs that I'm running into. I've managed to create items, favorite them, let them be searchable, add reviews without any server errors. There's two bugs that are bugging me a decent amount. Once I resolve those I will likely be putting out a new release. While it won't address every issue that people have with the product at this stage, and it's still not complete, it will work a lot better for everyone than it has in a while.

I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that I know too many of you have moved on from even caring about this add-on. For those of you at that point or near it, I'm still offering XenMods store credit in exchange for XenReviews licenses. I mentioned this a few pages back. I know it's not as good as a cash refund but it is something. My portfolio is also expanding thanks to sponsored work and development hours that Liam has been able to put in the last few months so hopefully there's something for everyone who is interested.

Mentioning Liam leads me to my next point. He's been doing a great job for the last 3 months on the projects I've had him working on and soon I plan to get him working on XenReviews stuff. This should help get it stable so that we can all finally get it running.

Are those two bugs related to the filtering and maps? I remember those were particularly problematic.
