Xenith

Xenith [Paid] 2.3.11.0.0

No permission to buy ($59.50)
We haven't had a chance to evaluate it; We always recommend waiting a couple days before upgrading just to be safe either way. I do know that some page_container changes will need to be merged in.

Thanks Willl! I'm running XF 2.3.9 (with security patch) with Xenith 2.3.8. About to upgrade XF to 2.3.11 and also the Xenith style. Any guidance on how to properly update the style?

It depends on how you originally installed; If you installed via Install & Upgrade, then you may want to make sure to run the Install & Upgrade cron to make sure the theme updates show (you can do this in the ACP under Tools -> Cron entries, and clicking the "refresh" button on the right for the line named [TH] Install & Upgrade: Update Check). Then just update XF and any necessary addons, and then update the style via the Styles upgrade button on the Styles page.

If you manually installed, in this case you'll just need to import the XML and overwrite your parent style.

Do note any changes made directly to the Xenith parent style will be lost, so always make sure to place your customizations inside a child style.

There actually won't be a 2.3.12 version; The latest version is fully compatible with XF 2.3.12.

No, but I may start going ahead and posting updates here when no update is needed.. Usually most folks just update immediately and forget that they have to wait for us to update our styles :D

LOL I learned my lesson once. Now I wait. And in this case, wait some more. Thanks for the quick response, future "no update needed" messages would be appreciated!

Hi Will, we've been using our customization of Xenith for a while and want to continue with it, but we do want a dark mode option for our users. Does it support dark mode?

It doesn't support the variations-system, but you can also just create a child style and adjust the colors for a separate dark theme (basically the "old" way of doing it). That would work fine.

Alternatively, we do have a dark version of the theme if you're OK with running 2 separate themes - Abyss.

Thanks willl... which way do you think is the easiest way? Creating the child style and adjusting the colors, or re-doing all my customizations in the separate Abyss theme?

I'd go with child style; Easier to maintain, and for the most part you're just adjusting the color style properties.
