Xenforo to Xenforo Importer?

Is there something available out there right now?
Ive been told the only real way to import xf to xf is to:

1- take xF db you want to import, import that into vb4
2 - take vb4 site, import to XF site you wanted to merge into.

Is there a better way as of yet?

Sounds simple enough ... but will it copy properly file attachments, etc?

I'm referring specifically about moving one xF forum from host A to host B. As far as I know, xF does not store it's file attachments in the DB but in a physical file structure.
That's why I said "Then copy your forum files over and duplicate your configuration (assuming you are on a VPS or dedicated server)", reflecting you are moving your entire forum structure (in my case it resides in /twowheel) over to the new site. Moving the entire structure will include moving the attachments in the /data folder.
If you are talking about converting from forum software A to xF, then I'm pretty sure the official converters do (I'm almost positive they did when I converted from myBB -> phpBB3 -> xenForo).

Thanks :) it would be from one VPS to another, I was worried that going from Plesk to Virtualmin might not keep the correct file privileges and I think I would have to manually rename folders to ensure privacy.

Only thing to really have to check on is make sure that /data and /internal_data (and all their sub-directories) have permissions of 777. The others should work fine. If not, you can generally drop a note here and get a response pretty quickly either from the official support or the "unofficial" support.

I'm sure its inevitable that this will eventually be developed, but future features will be announced via the HYS forum. I would keep an eye on that forum.

Another vote for this. I could really do with an XF > XF importer - I've got to merge two forums and it looks like I'll have to go through a 3rd party, which will lose some member data (inc passwords).
