Is it possible to drop in a XenForo resource in custom template that will provide ability to post comments? ...maybe something along the lines of forum post with commenting?
XenForo resources in template customizations.

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish. What is the resource you are talking about?
If you want to enable users to comment on something then you can perhaps just create a thread for it. If not a thread then you will need to implement a proper addon to allow users to submit comments. You can't achieve that kind of interaction with just a template edit.

For example: <xen:include template="share_page" /> inserted into a template will provide for page sharing via facebook and twitter.
