Xenforo on Amazon hosting

Has anyone done this? I have never used Amazon cloud hosting before. Is it any good? Is there a guide for setting up XF on there?

It's no different than running it on any other VPS. The way you control your VPS from the outside is a bit different of course, so you'll need to have some technical experience, but other than that, once you have the server running it's the same story as on any other host.

Last time I checked the amazon hosting was horrendously priced for the spec?

Yeah you normally don't use Amazon unless you want to easily scale servers or just have a larger budget.
