xenforo's design inspired me to design something similar. I dont mind if you call it copy :D coz it does look like copy. but all the sites using xen with same design do you call it copy? coz they have same design?
I can design whatever i want.. and i can say "oww.. it looks similar to xen :D"
PS: my signature display is different than xen :D hehe...

No buts. It's a copy and a very bad comparison. You admitted that and that has satisfied my concern. ;)

He's not at all concerned that he copied XF's layout. He's proud of it, boasting about it.
And IMO, that's pretty sorry.

If I'm not good enough. lol... it's more that YOU are not good enough.
Not good enough to come up with your own layout, so you have to copy someone else's.
So in that respect, you're right. You are sorry. ;)

This is what I was getting at and trying to get out of him. Which I did. This is not inspirational in any sense. the fact it took him many posts to admit that and try to twist words prolonged this only showed that this was a carbon copy layout. Again, not questioning the authors talent here, but never base carbon copy layouts of other peoples innovative ideas/works as your inspirational work. It's not, and never will be.

That said, and I'll always say this and that it helps that we have a dev with an exceptional design eye which makes this software so great and envy to inspirational developers that notice this. (y)
 
Having said that Shelley, right or wrong, I have reported this thread and asked for it to be closed.
I don't think we should give this "person" anymore space to brag about his wrong-doing.

You will need to step away from responses like that, as you might bump into these people here for help in the future. Do not react and just let others say what needs to be said and let it be. You do not need to justify yourself to other you do not know and you diffidently should not be telling other they have no talent, as you have no clue in who they are and what they have accomplish to this point.... (Well they should not knock you down for trying, but should of gave you pointers to your design.) Just take your lumps and bruises and ask for constructive criticism and just brush off others.

Lets say that some know what they are talking about when it comes to ripping...;). I see only the layout is similar and not a complete rip, as others think.

Okay i admit i liked the xen layout and i copied the design (happy? :D) but i know why i did that why i cant put my own ideas to it. the reason was i was under pressure of releasing the new layout on 22nd April on my Bday so i had to go with what is possible.

I will surely post back here when i make changes to my design and give you people a feel of something different :) dont think that i will stop here.. i have done a lot of innovation in field of electronics :D i can do the same to web.

And not to forget XF is a great software and amount of features it has i cannot match with it :) as i am using a free software. but there is always a room for implementing new things.

So I am sorry if i hurt anyone's feelings and made you jealous :D that i have something similar for which you guys paid $140.

You see, you've only exposed your arrogance and your incompetence and even have the nerve to admit that you had a time limit so you blatantly copied. :p Did you honestly stop to think before you typed that? you really out done yourself there. (y)

Btw: The only thing I wanted from you was to admit you copied, everything afterwards is a bonus. :D thankyou.
 
No different than a Chinese company being inspired by Rolex watch to blatantly rip it off and calling it a Rulex.
