XF 1.5 Xenforo gifs Avatar

Hello, I have been super curious and wondering for a while now.

Does xenforo actually support or even have an addon that supports gif avatars at all?

You can have gif avatars if you use ImageMagick as your image processor instead of GD in the ACP. However your hosting will have to support ImageMagick and you will need ImageMagick PECL's extension for PHP installed.

Is ImageMagick an addon? or is it part of xenforo?

No it's not part of XenForo, it's something that needs installing on your web hosting. Contact your web host to see if they will do this for you.

No, everyone would be able to have an animated gif avatar. You would need an add-on for this though I think the only one available is for XenForo 2.0 https://xenforo.com/community/resources/animated-avatar-permission.6423/, I don't think there's one for XenForo 1.5.
