XF 1.4 Xenforo & Adsense

So I was looking through this: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/visual-list-of-ad-locations.1383/
Which by the way is very helpful. I tried putting an ad in the Ad_message_below template, but I realised this makes far more than 3 ads appear per thread. Isn't this against Google policy? If so, is there a way to set a max of posts to display ads under?
