XF 2.3 XenForo 2.3.8 not visible – Upgrade shows “No upgrade available” (License valid)

Hello XenForo Team,

I’m trying to upgrade my XenForo installation from 2.3.7 to 2.3.8, but I’m running into a strange issue.

What I’m seeing:​

• In the Admin Control Panel, it shows “No upgrade available”
• On the XenForo Downloads page, I can only see XenForo 2.3.7
• XenForo 2.3.8 is not listed anywhere
• My license is active and valid

At this point, I’m not sure whether:

• 2.3.8 has been temporarily pulled
• The release is delayed / staged
• Or there’s an account-side visibility issue

Could someone from the XenForo team please check and confirm:

1. Whether XenForo 2.3.8 is officially released
2. Why it’s not visible in downloads or upgrade checks for my license

Happy to provide license ID or any other details if required.

XenForo 2.3.8 has not been released yet so it won't normally show up in ACP (eg. unless you've explicitely enabled checking for unstable versions which is generally not recommended for production setups).

If you have an active license you can download 2.3.8 Preview from your customer area.

Or go to ACP -> Options -> Basic options -> uncheck Only check for stable upgrades
But only do this if you are able to test this kind of releases as this is a preview version.

XenForo 2.3.8 has not been released yet so it won't show up in ACP.

It will, as you can see here:



To make it show up you'll have to uncheck this box:


With 2.3.8 preview not being a stable release else it won't show. With next update check (manual or automatic) you'll find the update then. The box is here:

as usual: only via using a backup you took before upgrading and losing what has been written after upgrading.

Just wait until the stable release happens. It's not out yet but it could be the next day or two

The only option to downgrade is if you made a full backup of your database and forum files too before the upgrade. If you have made manual edits to templates or code files, you might want to make a back of those too.
