XenForo 1.3.1 Released

Today, we are happy to release XenForo 1.3.1. This release fixes a number of bugs and issues that were found in 1.3.0. As this is a maintenance release, the vast majority of the focus was an increase in stability.

However, we have also made a few other improvements:
  • Added tool to test Twitter integration
  • Added option to allow payments to alternative PayPal accounts to be accepted for user upgrade purposes
  • Added option to control pruning of user change logs
Most of the changes are bug fixes. Some of the bugs fixed include:
  • Allow Twitter-related HTTP requests to be sent via cURL if SSL support is not built into PHP
  • Fixed cases where uncensored titles may have been displayed in emails
  • Updated Google+ integration to use the new, non-deprecated "email" scope
  • Fixed situations where pasting into the editor would remove text unexpectedly
  • Ensure that prefixes are usable when editing the title of a thread
  • Enforce prefix validation in more cases in the thread data writer
  • Standardized formatting of embedded media in emails
  • Strip EXIF information when manipulating an image via Imagick to ensure rotation is maintained correctly
  • Adjusted editor popup menus to be more consistent with the active color scheme
  • When copying a post, rewrite any inline attachment BB codes to point to the copied attachments
  • Fixed case where Firefox would maintain inline moderation selections unexpectedly
  • Improved display of smilies in the editor when scrolling is required
  • Improve display/translation of some additional fields in the user change log
  • Improved user change log display in RTL languages
  • Fixed situation where discouragement could be applied multiple times in one request
  • Adjust the watched forums list to better handle forums that aren't listed
  • Fix invalid _getExistingData function for forum watching
  • Send a 405 header when enforcing that a request is via POST
  • Adjust ETags to follow the specificiation more closely
See the Resolved Bug Reports forum for further information.

More Stable

This release of XenForo 1.3.1 follows our principle that third-point (x.x.X) releases should always be more stable than the preceding version, so for the most part you will not find new features in this release. Major new features will be reserved for second point versions (x.X.x).

Installation and Upgrade Instructions

Full details for how to install and upgrade XenForo can be found in the XenForo Manual.
