Congrats on another release @Veer
It's good to see different offerings that address the common issues that many of us are facing. If anything, it's the biggest issue most of us facing today as AI are getting more powerful, plentiful and will adapt their tactics faster than we can defense.
I would be interested in learning what the difference and advantage of this addon compared to other available here. XF Bot Guard, IP validator, etc. There are many bot preventer addons that I am not able to keep up with.

Thanks, Andy! Yes, unwanted automated traffic has become one of the biggest challenges for forum owners, and we've been dealing with it on our own communities and customer sites as well.

In fact, it became enough of a concern that we put several other projects aside and spent a full month developing, testing, and refining Bot Shield. We originally built it for our own use, taking into account the problems we'd experienced and feedback from customers.

We've seen XF Bot Guard on some sites. Our goal with Bot Shield was somewhat different: a focused, more transparent, and lightweight anti-bot solution that protects selected public content early, with straightforward administration and controlled storage growth.

Some of the key features include:

• Early content protection with automatic browser verification, without CAPTCHA puzzles.
• Configurable and controlled protection for XenForo, XFRM, XFMG, XenCustomize, and other content add-ons.
• Individual crawler policies, custom rules, and official IP verification for Google, Bing, and supported Google services.
• Guest rate limiting, detailed activity monitoring, and Current visitors page integration.
• Configurable logging, retention limits, and automatic cleanup.

We also spent considerable time testing and refining the features and Admin CP interfaces, making the options understandable, and ensuring the different features work together naturally. We wanted something we'd be comfortable running and maintaining on our own sites long-term. In fact, we're already running Bot Shield on XenCustomize.com.

I haven't looked at the other available add-ons closely enough to make a fair comparison with them.

Before release, we also prepared real screenshots and individual feature guides covering configuration, crawler policies, verification, activity monitoring, and expected behavior. Different solutions suit different needs. With Bot Shield, our focus is on practical content protection, flexible crawler management, and clear visibility into protection activity, without making everyday administration unnecessarily complicated and heavy on database.
