Hi

Is it possible to add a feature for those users who want to disable reactions just for themselves?

It means reactions are generally available for everyone but some people dont want to get reactions from others.
 
@boeing747, don't want to receive at all or just don't want to see?

If the first, it is most likely outside the scope of this add-on. We can make a custom addon if you describe in more detail how it should work.

If second, most likely not, because the reaction users output templater method not very friendly to the any extension.
 
Anyone tested this on 2.3? Looking for a way to hide all reactions from news feeds (but not anywhere else). Trying to avoid more custom dev work. Hopefully this can do it.
 
Does this addon allows to replace the list of usernames in the reactions bar with a count of reactions, while retaining the functionality of the popup that displays detailed information?

No. This add-on hides the page of this popup if the user doesn't have ‘"View reacted users" permission, and displays just the reaction count without usernames below the post (without a link to the reacted users list).
 
It also appears that forum specific hiding of reactions is not working, even though the option is there. I set all usergroup levels to "Never" for a specific forum section, and it still showed the usernames.

There is a global permission for the “View reacted users (global)” user group. If it is enabled, all content/node/category specific permissions will be ignored.

Make sure it is not enabled for your group.

If you mean that this should be limited only to certain nodes/categories, this can be done using permissions
