I would like to leave post-it notes under peoples avatars. On the PC, it's always dead space. I would like a notepad there I can toggle show/hide. To leave notes about community members. Making notes is the most recognised way of learning, and with perhaps hundreds of members, on a hobby forum that gets an hour of my time a day, I just can't remember them all. The helpful, the unhelpful. The nice, and the nasty. The local, and far. You know. Remembering who people are. Those you owe favour, and these to ignore.

It would be like a user profile, but one you write to keep your own person notes on people. Tell me you wouldn't find this useful. Right now, you could be writing under my avatar, a little note 'post-it guy' so you would see me elsewhere, and quickly remember this as part of my history.

I remember an addon for this somewhere.

But FYI, if you are collecting too much info as an admin or owner, on members, you may want to revise your privacy policy to support that. Just to protect yourself.

I'm just a board user, wanting to keep up with who is who.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was already a feature, as it seems so important to me. Not for the boards I don't use often, but on one I spend hours each day. If you run a board, you know certain members are your bread and butter. This could increase there involvement, by helping them remember more people. So those people feel more a part of things. And even the unwanted might note down who's useful to keep on side. It's about building community. The more people know each other, the more onlookers can see there is something to be part of. To me, this almost feels like a top 5 need for a forum. Community.

Where would I find such a thing? I feel sure our leader would give it a try for me.

I don't want notes attached to the users profile as was posted elsewhere just this month. I don't want to be looking around for them at all. I think below the Avatar perfect for PC users. Though under the signature is functional. Ideally if it can be toggled to stop the screen length growing.

Do I have to make 50 posts on my own thread, before I can post elsewhere? So many forums encourage littering these days.
