XF 2.1 Would creating a ton of nodes be a bad idea?

I like to discuss TV series on my forum. Right now we have 1 thread for every TV series. However in order to contain spoilers it would actually be a lot more interesting to create a node per TV series (around 40 would be created) and have a thread for every episode. This way spoilers are always contained per episode discussion thread.
My only worry is that this might slow down the forum a lot? Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thank you!

40 nodes should not be a problem at all.

Why not 1 thread for every episode in 1 node?

Use 40 prefixes (for each series one), and when people click on the prefix, they will see every episode thread of that series.

Much better solution.

I think that would look too messy to be honest, but thank you for the suggestion!

I just counted and I have 99 nodes on a forum with 40,000+ members and about 1M posts. Not an issue.
