Quite the game 6 last night.
The Cardinal win after coming back from behind 5 times !
Down to their last strike or out twice ... and still pull it off ? WOW.

    Thoughts on tonight's Game ?

    Some interesting facts:
    (1) No road team has won a Game 7 in 32 years, since the 1979 Pirates.
    (2) And the past four teams that lost a heartbreaking Game 6 inches from a championship -- the 2002 Giants, the 1991 Braves and, of course, the 1986 Red Sox and 1985 Cardinals -- all lost Game 7.

Matt Harrison on the mound for Texas
Chris Carpenter on the mound for St. Louis.

    Texas - Matt Harrison (1-1, 5.02 ERA)
St. Louis - Chris Carpenter (3-0, 3.30 ERA)

Going with the Cardinals as the Blue Jays are my team and the Cards have 3 ex Jays: Carpenter, Dotel, and Mark Rzepz.. Mark Rzepzc... Mark Rzepczynski (sheesh  ).

From STL, not much of a baseball fan but watched last nights game and was very impressed. Let's see the Cards bring it home.

I often root for the Underdogs.
I'm a xF/david type of person, not the vB/goliath person.
Maybe we are all Cardinals fans ! /kidding

Well ... I guess for Forum software ... I just stick with what I think is best.
If vB was better, I'd use that.

Yes but the Rangers haven't lost back to back games since August.

Also I voted for the Rangers as i'm from Texas and I love em.

I'm a Cubs fan, no part of my upbringing would be allowed to root for the Cardinals.

Carpenter doesn't look sharp on 3 days rest so far.
Dodged a bullet in the second stranding 2 runners.

    So far 4-2 St. Louis.
Rangers just walked in a run .... 2 outs in the bottom of the 5th. Pitching change.
Feldman's 3-2 pitch was actually a strike (inning should be over 3-2) ... oops.

Update: Hit batter ... now 5-2
Uh oh. That might be it !

    Carpenter sure settled down.
    2 runs on 6 hits.
Those 2 runs were in the FIRST inning.
2 outs in the ninth !!!!!

Freese is the man! Game 6 was much better than game 7...but was great nonetheless.

We're the Buffalo Bills of baseball.

Just out of curiosity, for those outside the US:

What do you think when we have the World Series or Superbowl and the team calls themselves the "World Champion"?
