Wordpress-Xenforo Thoughts

I'm considering purchasing Xenforo. I have a new site on Wordpress and I'm looking for a forum integration. I'm not really a fan of BuddyPress so right now I'm looking a vBulletin and Xenforo.

How good is the current bridge (http://xenforo.com/community/threads/wordpress-3-bridge.5398/page-27)? I recognize this is a third party plugin - so I'm just looking for opinions from a technical and practical aspect.

Will using a bridge like this cause future problems? How are the logins/user accounts handled? Ideas, thoughts, advice?

bridge works fine, I have 5000 members pulled through it... the only "downside" is the avatars, as in I'd love for xenforo avatars to be pulled into WP comments. Once that happens, it's complete in my books.

Ive used the versions of the bridge plugin since it was posted here and no wordpress upgrade has ever messed it up. Once you set it up that's that.

^ I'm wondering this as well.

How are user accounts handled and how are comments handled?

Is it possible to have Xenforo comments on the Wordpress article? Perhaps automatically create a thread based on the article with RSS and have a thread displayed as comments below the article?

I'm on the verge of buying but I need someone to sell me on Wordpress integration.

Are article comments handled by Wordpress or Xenforo?

Is it possible to have Xenforo comments appear at the end of Wordpress articles?

you'd have to check out the proxy wordpress add-ons and that posted here, personally I like to keep everything separate. Wordpress handles my comments for wordpress. I can live without avatars there and my members don't really care as long as they can post.
