Add-on Wikipedia Content Integration (free/paid)

Hi there

What would be a great improvement for my site would be a wikipedia content integration. Just like it's working with youtube, you would add [wiki]Metallica[/wiki] to a post and the addon would fetch the content from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metallica and integrate it into the post. Maybe just the first 500 chars with a "read more" link.

Could that be done? Would pay for that, but due to the fact that we are a non-profit forums, we could affort max. 50$. But maybe there are others which are interested..

Best,
Roman

We are going to release a product with that functionality in 24-48 hours. It will be posted in XenForo Resources as soon as it is ready. You may want to subscribe to our Announcements forum for news on this and other releases. The product will be paid, price will be published upon release. Thank you!

Thanks Walter. But that's not what I'm up to. I don't like iframes, because of the navigation, scrolling etc. But there is a Wikipedia API to integrate the content into other web applications. That's for example done for wikipedia apps for iphones etc.

So that would be my goal: Get the first part of the wikipedia article - the common definition - and fully integrate it into xenforo including using existing css definitions. But to honor wikipedia's work, put a link with the source and a "read more" link to the original article.

See for example: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/library/x-phpwikipedia/index.html

I'm not familiar enough with xenforo to do it myself. Especially things like caching content and transforming wikimarkup to bbcode or xhtml is too much for me.
