XF 2.2 Widget offset

I'm making a custom page and using the "new thread" widget to display one record. I've duplicated that template code and reuse the same widget three times. So, I've got the same widget on a page and it's pulling the same one thread. Is it possible to code in the template using php to offset the pulled record by +1 and +2 so that it displays the three latest records using the same widget code?
