Wide logo is stretching, works well at some resolutions, poorly at others

I am testing a wide logo filling the logo block at http://jetboaters.net

It works well for a middle range of widths of the browser.



At mobile sized resolutions it becomes long and narrow


At wide resolutions it stretches to become taller than the logo block



Is there a way that I could make the logo block itself grow and shrink as the logo does, or cause minimum and maximum sizes for the logo?

You can try using media queries to change the image for different set widths.

@Brogan, thank you, your link was what I needed.

I installed http://xenforo.com/community/resources/responsive-design.2193/ to change the icon at narrow resolutions.

My issue with the banner becoming too large was that the banner image was taller than the 80 pixels I had allocated for it. So it would stretch to its full height as the window widened. I rescaled it to 80 pixels of height. Now it stretches to its full height and is left aligned after that.

I may manually code in a third image for wider displays.
