XF 2.1 Why on Earth would there be a syntax error on an untouched template?

Just look at the screenshot below, the template is unchanged (original), I just opened it, watched it and pressed Save, and this error comes. Not only the template has never been edited, but even if I try removing all the lines, leaving only TWO lines, it keeps saying the error is at Line 3. I have no errors logged in the Xenforo admin server errors and I'm really stuck at this point, as I don't really know what could be the cause. I tried with other templates and I don't get this error.



If any of you had this issue before and would like to share a solution, I'd be grateful. I didn't install any add-ons or did any edits recently, so I think the template check isn't working properly for some reason.

Most likely there is a template modification from an add-on causing the problem.

I'd like to say you're right, but even with

$config['enableListeners'] = 0;

the result is the same.

Disabling listeners does not disable template modifications.

I'll try disabling all add-ons and I'll get back to you, thanks for the fast reply anyways, I appreciate it.

Just go to ACP —> Appearance —> Template modifications and see if any are modifying the post_macros template.

How weird, looks like Editor & BBCode Manager is causing the issue on line 3.

Well, I'm amazed to see how fast you guys managed to help me out, so special thanks to @Snog for giving me a nice idea which helped me finding the reason for the issue and @ozzy47 which helped me finding which add-on specifically caused the issue.
