A week ago I was still looking into different forum solutions for my website. I tested XenForo a few months ago and was very impressed but I had some difficulties integrating my blog header at the top of the forums.
Last weekend I decided to try XenForo again. This time around I found the template system and style modifier much easier to use. I guess you need to take the time to learn any new styling system
My blog focuses on the WordPress platform therefore most websites in my niche have chosen the plugin bbPress for their discussion forum. I believe bbPress to be too basic. I published an article today explaining why I didn't choose bbPress and why I chose XenForo instead.
I'm sure those of you who are sitting on the fence still and not sure which platform to choose will find it useful.
Why I Didn’t Choose bbPress For Our Discussion Forums
Thanks,
Kevin
