XF 2.3 Which of these files in my Xenforo web root can be safely deleted?

Trying to clean up an old install before a pending migration.
Everything is up to 2.3 now.

I'm guessing htaccess.txt, install, and a few others can go away.

Not sure why the composer files are in your root folder, these are usually elsewhere in the xf install.
All other files are valid parts of the xf install, you can probably delete htaccess.txt if you don't need to reference any further.

For directories, vendor and forum are unknowns to me and are not in the default xf root folder. So, I'd confirm what these contain and what they are used for before deleting.

Thanks!

That last file under forum/ seems to be related to XF301VB which is vBulletin redirects, which I've been trying to get rid of.

I Have no idea what that vendor/ folder is for.

Ref: Vendor
That looks like a partial copy of ../src/vendor -- almost like someone started to copy it there and cancelled the transfer.
You might be able to delete that folder so long as the rest of your ../src/vendor version looks intact. Not sure how this would have happened except by human error. To err on the side of caution, I'd make a copy of that folder and then delete it... if something dies, you'll know it was important for something. It doesn't make sense from an XF perspective...

I've not touched VB in ages, but I think that it's safe to delete as XF won't reference that location.
