You would need to specify what you want to pay.

It would also depend on the scale of the work, as well as the designer who takes on your request as they all have different pricing.

I honestly can't say what a custom style would cost, as I have never purchased one before.

@Forsaken , @Russ , @Arty , are some designers here who might be able to quote a price in private for you.

I think it's highly unlikely that someone will create you a custom style for nothing. You'll have to pay something for it and if it's unique to your forums it's likely to cost you a lot more than you are prepared to pay for it.

With some time and effort you could customise the default style with your own colours and icons. If you're not prepared to do this and still want a free custom style, there are a few in the Resources section.

Do make sure that any style you choose is compatible with Xenforo 1.3. If in doubt, post in the discussion thread for that style and ask the author.

Custom work IS expensive.
I remember when I was getting quotes for a Vbulletin theme, the lowest I found was $300ish, right up to $1200.

hahah ..well it was hard for me to pay 50$ and what u are saying is 6 times more sadly..
if UI/UX developer or designer can do this than do let me know ..i have few of my friends in the field

With enough time to study it and familiarity with CSS and basic HTML knowledge pretty much anyone can style it. It's just a matter of getting used to XenForo. And yes, for a custom style you are going to be looking in the range of 3-4 digit amounts (that's BEFORE the .00 that follows). I know just a logo request (custom) that I got was $250. And since my forums (yes, I have 7 of 'em) are free and don't bring me in any money that would be $1750 that I was not going to spend on them since they are already running me around $325 a month to have (that's the server costs).

I'm going to leave the highlighted portion alone, as I'm sure you're going to get flamed by someone else, if not having a conversation with a mod in the near future.

Forums usually start out as hobbies. As with any hobby, you have to spend money. Equipment, tools, parts, gadgets, literature, etc.

Hobbies also take time. Time to learn. Time to tinker. Time to play.

Forums are no different.

Now, you can save money by reading the forums, doing Google searches, and learn how to change things yourself. Change the colors, change the style, etc.

Yes, you can pay someone to do it for you. Remember, they charge the fees that they do because you're not willing or can't do it yourself.

See my avatar? I paid someone to create it for me. Why? Because I have no talent when it comes to drawing. I can barely draw a stick figure.

Before you commit to any expenditures, maybe you need to sit down and ask yourself if creating a forum is right for you and your time, and your budget.
