This would be really cool. It's like combining staff post notes and reporting. Users or staff who report posts, the message they enter is not only seen in modcp, but also as a note inline. So you can scroll a thread and see the notes (maybe they are a yellow banner under the post, or collapsible, etc.).
My moderators will often report posts themselves before an action. This adds a little post note as to the concern actually in the post, you don't have to bounce around.
Also staff can be reminded of issues as they read threads. Say someone bumps an old issue. Or someone returns from a break. Seeing those notes helps as mods read. Thanks!
