XF 2.1 When rebuilding cache is stopped and not finished, does it count until to that point or not?

So, we can rebuild caches in ACP. There are many types of caches.
Let's say I pick one and start the rebuilding process. After 5 minutes I decide to cancel it.

So does it cancel any progress it made until I stopped the process? Or is the progress until cancelling still kept (just I never finished it completely)?
