XF 2.0 When a user needs to be manually approved and you check the box for "Notify User of Action," what kind of notification is sent?

I can't find this information, although I would hope there is an email notification telling the user their account has been approved. Otherwise they may never return and see a private conversation or user alert.

Can anyone clarify what type of notification is sent to a new user who ended up in the Approval Queue for manual registration approval?
