I keep hitting refresh on mangareader.net
Bah! I gave up after Gaara turned good. At least Bleach FINALLY ended.
Some series are pretty strong, but need to know when to cut out and stay good, rather than just milking a title.
*is still waiting for another series like GTO, haha*
Bleach didn't end. It's still going. The Quincy's are at war with Soul Society.
Naruto isn't being milked. Kishi just keeps coming up with ideas to put in the manga and I'm digging it. I like how the main characters are getting their power-ups. It reminds me of Dragon Ball Z back in the day.
Seriously? I thought the manga had already ended. Like I said, I gave up on series that just go on and on. The only exception is maybe some One Piece here and there, and Kochi Kame (manga).
The one thing I'll give Naruto, it's pretty addicting to get into. It's like this generation's Dragonball, if Dragonball didn't try to do that whole Kai thing, haha.
Naruto may not being milked but Bleach clearly is. Some of the captains did not even go bankai against Aizen. They got their butt handed to em. Kubo is a troll.
I'll google Kochi Kame sounds interesting. I only recently got into One Piece.
The korean mangas are doing better than most japanese manga I've read.
The Breaker and Tower of God are among my favs, so was Veritas before the creator ended it abruptly.
If you're open minded to anything like that, then you should check out some Chinese comics, too. I've found the artwork for them is very cool. Usually they have a watercolor feel to them, too.
And if you want cool series then check out Monster, K-ON and Yotsuba (manga only). I prefer either myster or slice of life stuff myself, but grew up with Goku and Piccolo, haha. Action genre is pretty good but story generally brings me in.
K-On, really? A music series that has the least music in it especially the 2nd season xD
To answer the main question, 8th,
The chapter you read on 28/4, was actually this past weeks chapter but just an early release since generally Shonen Jump goes on sale on Monday in Japan, and Monday was a holiday due to Goldenweek, so the week's chapter was early and not on usual time. The week before that was a Shonen Jump Break (since the Goldenweek chapter was releasing earlier next week) - http://orojackson.com/threads/one-piece-chapter-666.763/#post-25633
So if everything's fine, the next Naruto chapter should be on MR on Wednesday as usual and 48hrs later on mangastream.
INDEED! this is the best anime ever long awaiting the next set of epic eps!
Have you seen Golden Boy Chousho? it was done before GTO and is yet one more awesome animes like GTO
I don't read kiddie type stuff if I can help it so hopefully when I google it I don't see no yu-gi-oh type manga. lmao.
Ugh. I hope the next issue isn't more Kabuto backstory.
Haha, like I said, I like slice of life--which K-ON is pretty much. It just happens to have a music theme. I definitely wouldn't call it a music anime. For something like that, I'd recommend more Violinist of Hameln.
I actually forgot to offer Baccano! as a recommendation. If you haven't checked it out, ... err, check it out. Haha
And Vodka, of course I've seen Golden Boy! That's like required watching, haha. Somehow I will ride my bike on the telephone wires!
8th, try out some of the new anime season series. Some are really good Do you stream or download? Anyways, I'd suggest these:
Jormungand - It's a story revolving around a weapons dealer and her life with her crew. People hate her but her crew love her, for once an anime has a strong female protagonist. It's really interesting with action packed scenes and a good plot as well -http://myanimelist.net/anime/12413/Jormungand
Space Brothers - While this is completely different from the anime I mentioned above, the story revolves around two brothers who aim to become astronauts when they grow up. Eventually the younger brother succeeds but the elder one has a tough time completing his goal making him question everything that happened in their past. We watch his struggles as he compete's to stay "ahead" of his little brother - http://myanimelist.net/anime/12431/Uchuu_Kyoudai
Zetman - Though I believe the manga is much better, the anime is ok. I'd suggest watching the anime then reading the manga but the story goes like this. Humans created "players" for their entertainment, these players were monsters who'd fight each other to death. But the players revolted against the humans and all hell broke lose. The only person who can stop all the players is another player with special powers who was created for the sole purpose of killing players called "Zet" - http://myanimelist.net/anime/11837/Zetman
You can check out my anime list or manga list - http://myanimelist.net/profile/CapnLuffy
Out of all the stuff mentioned only Zetman interests me. I mean just look at it's cover.
I like action. That's why I gravitate towards manga like Naruto, Bleach, The Breaker, Gamaran, Veritas, Vagabond, Tower of God, Wolf Guy and Dark Mage. Gonna hace to check this Zetman out. I'm starving for some new action.
I'm sure you'll like Jormungand as well if you like action.
Oh nice Vagabond and Wolf Guy
Vinland Saga is also a good action series focusing on vikings, Soul Eater is also good (just recently read it). If you like Naruto and Bleach also try One Piece ^^ It's after all the most famous manga out there for the last 10 years in Japan.
If you need more info to get started on One Piece - http://orojackson.com/content/onepieceguide
And if you are doubting if you should or should not - http://orojackson.com/content/whatfanssay
Oh and Zetman is awesome, probably my favorite from this season. Do read the manga too, many of my friends who've read the manga say the manga is much better compared to the anime (Anime goes too fast it seems).
I guess I'll join your forum to learn more about one piece. I last left off from the sky island arc.
Ah Skypia, things really have changed a lot since then.
I'm sure you'll love the story ahead, it's different from the general shonen series, it's not all about the fights but interesting plots to it as well
Thanks for joining, I'll register on your board as well ^^
Since you guys are suggesting anime like crazy, I'm just going to throw a few out, hehe..
1. Fate/Stay Night ( <- watch before Fate Zero ) and Fate Zero : great anime if you're into action. No childish crap here with bleeding noses, immature characters, etc..
Fate Zero is the prequel to Fate/Stay Night. It has more action but it's recommended to watch Fate/Stay Night first so there are no spoilers.
2. Death Note : storyline is great but it takes 3-5 episodes to get hooked on it. This anime got me into watching anime (besides ONLY watching Naruto)
3. Elfen Lied : some nudity and the ending was a disappointment to me (might be different for others), but still good.
4. Ga-Rei Zero : found this at random and decided to watch. It was VERY good and I was not disappointed with the anime.
I've watched the whole Death Note anime series. That show was amazing.
