How to add default sidebar on What's new page and configure widget in there ?

That requires an addon, https://xenforo.com/community/resources/cxf-sidebar-widget-positions.6198/ there is a suggestion to have it in the core also, https://xenforo.com/community/threads/widget-position-new-posts-sidebar.135362/
