What would cause members online to be wiped out besides server restart?

So ever since I changed from mysql to mariadb I will watch my members online list got from 188 (example) members to one (me) when I refresh. This is expected if you restart the server, or service, but this is happening often ever since I changed to mariadb. Any ideas?

Are you certain that you're not the only one online when you refresh?

I can't imagine how using MariaDB would be responsible for that.

My host addressed it. Memory setting in mariadb/mysql.
