I am about to buy an OVH dedicated server, with 128GB RAM, 16 cores and 32 threads, with that CPU :
    Intel Xeon 2x E5-2650

What licence to buy at litespeed ? Is their any alternative to litespeed ?

    Best regards.

2-4 cpu license is all you need, leave the rest of your cpu cores to focus on LSAPI PHP processing :)

How big /active is your site?

a 2 or 4 cpu license would probably be fine for you however.

    About 900/1000 members+visitors within 15 minutes.

What is the difference between 2 and 4 CPU licence ? If you have a server with only 2 CPU, why would you buy a 4 cpu licence ?

cpu term is equivalent to cpu threads, so you have a 16 core 32 thread server, so a 2 or 4 cpu license will assign 2 or 4 cpu threads out of 32 threads to LiteSpeed while the remaining 28-30 cpu threads are used for other tasks like mysql, PHP, email, etc

The specs you desired is overkill for your forum stats :)

Yikes. Do people actually pay that for a web server license? That's insane. Why not one of the many free options?
