I am well aware that some websites (ex. KiwiFarms) has been running bootleg versions of Xenforo after the license agreement was terminated in 2021 for violating their Terms of Service and I was wondering out of curiosity if there may be any repercussions towards KiwiFarms and any other websites running bootleg versions of the Xenforo.

Original title is: Is running a bootleg version of Xenforo a violation?

I would edit your title because I don't think it says what you are asking. Very obviously it is a violation and I'm sure you know that.

What you are asking is whether there is any kind of legal action that can and would be taken.

It sounds like your actual question is, "What is your company doing legally to enforce your terms of service?"

And honestly I'm not sure it's anyone's business besides people inside the company. I wouldn't expect other companies (say Apple, Microsoft, Google or any other for that matter) to report to random people what they are doing as far as IP enforcement unless that person is a party to the enforcement.
