XF 1.3 What is the easiest way to create template from scratch?

I really want to create my own template from scratch with very simple HTML/CSS part (no graphics, no complicated DIV structure, just one font etc). Changing default template will be pain, so I'm wondering what is the easiest way to create template from scratch?

Is it possible? Is there any tutorial?

I think you may be over-thinking the styling system XenForo provides, it's one of the best out there(I feel). What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Well, I'm building very simple styled website with no graphics, no JS, no heavy CSS etc for very fast loading on mobile devices. I'd like to use that very simple website template in my XF installation.

I also would like to remove a lot of stuff like RSS feeds, top menu ("Watched threads", "New posts" etc), forum statistics, bottom menu etc.
