XF 1.5 What .htaccess file should I use?

Hi, as the title states, what .htaccess file in my Xenforo structure should I use?

When I'm logged in to the FTP I find one in the public_html folder and one in the community folder as well. But the last one is in txt form so it´s not active I suppose.

.htaccess works for each directory. So your file in example.com will be different to the one in example.com/community. The default one will work fine, you should only need to change it for doing any redirection or force https.

Thanks for quick response. What I'm after is the .htaccess that's responsible for forcing HTTPS.

I'm using a Let's Encrypt certificate that my service provider is offering for free.

When I activated it I was able to select an option to redirect to HTTPS.



I want to verify the settings in this .htaccess file to be sure everything is OK. Is it public_html directory I should look in for the file?

Force HTTPS.
