What do you look for in a good hosting company?

I had an awesome list of things I look for but lost it.

I look for:

Good phone support
Good service level agreements
References from people who have big websites hosted with them
No sales and gimmicks
Nothing too cheap - too cheap means something was cut somewhere



Making this list because am going to look for a good mail server for my websites

ya me too lost these in the past.Choosing the wrong company to host your website can cost you time and money. When I first started building websites I relied on reviews from other website as guidance.A few web hosts that were high on “top 10″ lists turned out to be terrible.Whenever you choose a hosting provider,be aware that provider is trustworthy and whether they provide good technical support.Please don't go by ads.I have over 10 years of experience managing my own sites with several different web hosting companies, as well as managing sites for clients on various web hosts.But personally now i am experienced hosting with XnYnZ.com they are indeed doing good service in hosting,they also provide good technical support.No issues so far..
