XF 2.1 What do these User Group Permissions do?

There a few User Group Permission settings that are unclear to me. I tried searching around, but didn't have much luck finding an explanation for them. Can you help?

General permissions -> Maximum mention alerts (what does the number limit here do exactly?)

Conversation moderator permissions -> Always invite participants to conversations (???)

Profile post permissions -> Manage profile posts on own profile (This let's a user delete profile posts on their profile page I guess? Can they edit posts?)

General permissions -> Maximum mention alerts (what does the number limit here do exactly?)
The maximum number of members that will be alerted when tagging them in a post.

Conversation moderator permissions -> Always invite participants to conversations (???)
Allows moderators to invite others to a conversation, even if this is unchecked:

Profile post permissions -> Manage profile posts on own profile (This let's a user delete profile posts on their profile page I guess? Can they edit posts?)
Delete only - they cannot edit posts by other members.
