MG 2.2 Weird permission issue. User can change privacy of own album, but only after creating album, not during creation

This is very odd, and have tested with other addons disabled and default style.

Analyze permissions shows user as having the permission to change privacy, but they don't get the normal expected option of doing this while creating the album, only once an album has been created - then it works fine.

Can anyone please help? Thanks.

Are your users creating an album under a category you set up or are they creating a personal album in the root? I believe it’s still the case that users can’t edit album permissions under categories (they are set to inherit and album owner posting only by default). This has been suggested previously - it also looks like album permissions aren’t really fully inherited on categories.

If your users are making a post in the root they should see the options as Brogan displayed.
