Website runs "slow" every night during CRON jobs?

I've got a pretty powerful server for my website at http://8wayrun.com/

During most of the time, it runs fantastic, super fast. However, every night at around 12AM EST, the website slows down for about 2 hours while CRON jobs are processed. Does anyone have any tips to prevent this?

What cron jobs are running causing the server to slow down?

You can take a look at the jobs being run by viewing /var/log/cron and that will tell you the name of the job running and the time it's being run

What is being bogged down during the cron ? cpu ? RAM ?
Can you plot server resources vs cron activity ?
