Hi,

Does anyone know how to stop someone sending me a virus by email on a daily basis, My AV picks it up no problem but its starting to get annoying.

It says this info in the email sender.

from: "DHL Delivery Service" <contact.s.nr6621@dhl.com> to: <myemail@domain.com> with subject DHL service. Get your parcel S.NR6547 dated Tue, 16 Nov 2010 11:48:44 +0200 Win32/Oficla.JI trojan contained infected files Threat was detected upon receiving email by the application: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe.

from: "DHL Logistics Services" <donotreply.s.nr5571@dhl.com> to: <myemail@domain.com> with subject DHL Shipment Status S.NR0334198 dated Sun, 14 Nov 2010 00:22:32 -0400 Win32/Oficla.JG trojan contained infected files Threat was detected upon receiving email by the application: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe.

Thats just 2 but I have more they seems to be sent by the dsl.com domain, I thought they was a delivery service?

what email client you using? if you're using gmail, don't open it and mark it as spam. I think knowing what email you use will help as each website or client handles them a bit differently.

Is the person sending it maliciously or is it just one of those things that uses his/her contacts? I would suggest emailing back, oh and signing them up on a tellytubby porn mailing list ....

I agree with Jethro, I'd contact the person first, they may not know it's happening. If it continues contact the domain the email service they use is provided by, if it still continues, like in the rare case someone is intentionally doing it and owns the domain, contact their host, if it still continues go back to your idea of blocking it and report the sender, the site, and the host to every spam database you can find.

I use Gmail, so I don't get these mails anymore.
And the ones that are coming through I click on [report spam] and they disappear.

First off, check the full headers. Just because it says it's from DHL doesn't mean it actually is. They could be using DHL as a routing point and have hacked one of DHL's mail server's. If you need help, please PC me and let me help.
