vBulletin 4.2.5 - CMS/WordPress/Articles

We are looking to migrate from vB 4.2.5 where we use mainly the forum but have also use the CMS system for landing page and a 'how-to" articles section. At one time, we combined WordPress with vBulletin however this was awkward since back then, the two really didn't like each other. We had a lot of login and sharing issues.

Does Xenforo have some way of doing a landing page, an article section, something that would take the place of the CMS stuff that is extra to the Forum? Our site is gatewaycobraclub.com, it's a bunch of car guys. We could go back to a Wordpress/Xenforo setup but that just seems like a lot of work and a management problem looking for place to happen.

Secondly, does Xenforo have some way to integrate with FaceBook. FB doesn't meet our needs for forum use, but a lot of guys have headed that direction. It would be nice if we could share posts back and forth and have the main source be Xenforo, to try and pull in the FB users.

Is there a sales page that identifies the high points of the various features. I understand what a gallery is and does, what is the 'showcase'. Can the FAQ be customized to include subject-related items(cars or how-to articles) and pictures in addition to FAQ's on the forum software?

Thanks

Paul

You could use the article layout and set that forum as the index page, which would appear like this.

Or you could use a page node, widgets, and custom content.

There is log in with FB and share content to FB, but there is nothing which will pull content from FB into XF.

I'm not sure where you saw 'showcase' mentioned.
The media gallery add-on can be seen in use here: https://xenforo.com/community/media/

The resource manager here: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/

The features are outlined here: https://xenforo.com/features/discussion/

You can also try an online demo for yourself: https://xenforo.com/demo/

Besides the options that Brogan mentions, there are some add-ons of varying levels of sophistication for doing a portal page and articles. So if the out of box article functionality doesn't cut it, you can look at those options. I use Xenporta, but it is a fairly simple one so not sure if it is what you are looking for. It kind of implements Brogan's second suggestion.
