XF 2.2 Using UPDGRADE vs FRESH INSTALL

I did a new installation of 2.1 a few weeks ago.

I have not used my forum yet, so no users, no posts, nothing.

I am going to upgrade to 2.2.

Which is better, (or is there any difference) to using the UPGRADE button and upgrading 2.1 to 2.2, or since I have nothing to lose (except time) is it better to scrap 2.1 completely and just do a clean installation of 2.2?

Just do an upgrade.

The end result will be exactly the same.

After the set up, I'll be importing an active vBulletin forum that is 10 years old, so my start date won't matter. (Though, I'm not even sure where to find a start date to begin with!)

The only "start date" is the registration date of the XF admin account which is created during installation.

However, that is not relevant when doing an import, as the earliest date will be the date of the first admin account which was registered in VB.
