Usergroup styling

Hi Guys, I just got xenforo yesterday having used vBulletin for around 7/8 years, I'm usually very familiar with forum software and in general the simple codes and instructions left around by helpful devs and users around forums.

However this one has me stumped, I have messed around with the usergroup codes and added my own, I can get the colour codes to show on staff online block and also at the side of forum posts, however I cannot for the life of me get it to work in the members online now block, I am using widget framework, I have tried downloading usergroup legend and some of the edits suggestions within this thread: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/tlk-usergroup-legend.46422/page-3 also tried using the xenforo guide, did the edits within that as well but still I cannot get it to show everywhere on the site: https://xenforo.com/help/user-group-styling/

This site here gives a great example of what I would like to achieve: http://www.gamingmasters.org/ they have it showing everywhere that I would also like to show it.

As I said I have searched around a great deal on this, posts going back to 2012 but nothing specifically fixes this for me.

I'm using xenforo 1.5, any help would be greatly received.

You can use this add-on to show rich user name styling everywhere: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/all-rich-usernames.2994/

I'm not sure if it works with the WF add-on though, you would need to ask in one or both of the resource threads.
