XF 1.3 User profile pages URL

One thing that has really irked me with Xenforo is that user profile pages are linked in such a way that it links with the "number" that the user registered as, rather than their actual username...

So for instance the URL to my profile page is :
http://xenforo.com/community/members/toodlez.9245/

However, if I just type in:
http://xenforo.com/community/members/9245/
It will take me to my profile page as well..

But if I type in:
http://xenforo.com/community/members/toodlez
The page cannot be found.

Is it possible, or has such an add-on been developed that we can make user profiles linked by their physical username, and not worry about what "number" the user registered as overall?

The ID is crucial, the same for threads, posts, etc.

There is no way to link to member profile pages without it.
