MG 2.2 Use of the XFMG widget

When using the XFMG Media Slider, I have two questions:

1. Is there only 1 way to make it appear? Or is it possible to do something in cPanel?

2. Why wouldn't it appear when I used the Xenforo Admin controls? I even renamed it from "Random Media" to "Member's Pics" and nothing ever happened. I made sure I hit the save button at the bottom, and ticked the box telling it to appear on the right hand side of the forums list.

I don't know how you have it setup, but you need to make sure permissions are set correctly (default is usually okay to start with) and secondly, you need to choose the categories in the widget setup, example:



If you only have personal albums, you need to check that box as well and ensure that there are some albums that are viewable.

I setup this random media widget up in about 30 seconds.

I thought it only displayed pictures that were submitted in threads and posts. You're saying that by default, it only displays media that members put in their albums?

Next question:

Do you know how to add a "Home" button to the main ribbon at the top of forums, that will display articles written by the forum staff? I'm thinking that may be a separate widget that you have to purchase. Since you have to purchase the "Media" button.

Does the widget automatically show pictures from posts in threads?

I put some pics in my album, and I told it everyone can view them. But they still haven't appeared in the gallery widget. Does this take time or is there something else I need to do?

Thank you it works now!

Only thing is, "personal albums" sounds like members can't hide their pics. Does this setting override their privacy?

Right now the widget only (automatically) scrolls through 6 pictures. I've changed various numbers and I know what most of them are for. But do you know which setting will make it scroll through say... 30 pictures?

Yeah not sure why, for some reason it's just a little slow to respond. Yesterday it wouldn't cycle through more than 6 of them. I check it again today, and it's magically started working. Cycling through 18 of them. You know how it goes.
