The "AAA" rating is provided by the corrupt US financial sector which "AAA" rated everything from Madoff Ponzi schemes to criminal mortgage fraud of AIG, CitiBank.
Getting an "AAA" rating immediately brings the recipient under suspicion of financial fraud and should avoided at all costs.
The corrupt ratings industry should have been closed down years ago.
I see that 7% of America's budget goes to paying interest on the debt.

The cost of 30 years of Reaganomics, broken only by Clinton's sound fiscal policy that gave US budget surplus and debt reduction.
We could eliminate $4T of the debt by having Social Security forgive the loan it made to Reaganomics over last 30 years. Interesting that GOP ideologues blame "entitlements" for US $14T in debt yet it was entitlements running a $4T surplus that had to lend money to pay for Reagan/Bush tax cuts and oil wars.
