MG 1.1 upload size limits vs. Forum differentiated in pixel, kb, usergroup and category

I did not find this in the ACP options. Can MG do this independantly from the general forum settings?

(If there are differences between the version for XF1.5x and version XF2.x, please correct my list)

a) upload sizes depending on usergroup and category/album

b) upload size limit (in pixel dimensions) by usergroup and by category/album

c) upload size limit (in kilobyte dimensions) by usergroup and by category/album

d) upload frequency limit (per day/week/month/ you name it) by usergroup and by category/album

e) upload size limits of b,c,d also for embedded media i.e. Flickr images etc.?

Did you look in the permissions?

XFMG 1.x:



XFMG 2.x:



They are global permissions and not category/album specific.

They only apply to uploads, rather than embeds (the idea is to reduce the file size which doesn't apply to embeds, aside from a tiny thumbnail).

We don't have any frequency limits.

Any plans to add this feature?

Ths would also make it a lot easier to run competitions etc.

Very unlikely. The constraints aren't easily applied to individual categories. You can always just post a suggestion though. We're generally not going to comment on whether something is coming in the future or not.
